A Valued Partner

Former Santa Clara Unit - Platforms Gail & Grace and Onshore Carpinteria

Beacon West Energy Group was selected by Chevron USA to operate and maintain Platforms Gail and Grace, the Casitas Pier, the Carpinteria onshore plant, and associated pipelines as the assets are prepared for decommissioning. Both platforms are in federal waters, approximately 10 miles from shore and Beacon West in concert with Chevron provides significant engineering, regulatory compliance, logistical and construction management support. The Beacon West team is fully committed to safety, environmental stewardship and operational excellence while working with the Chevron team toward facility abandonment.

South Ellwood Field - Platform Holly, PRC 421 Piers & Ellwood Onshore Facility

Beacon West Energy Group was selected by the California State Lands Commission to operate and maintain Platform Holly, the Ellwood Onshore Facility, and associated infrastructure through decommissioning due to the significant historical knowledge of all the associated facilities as well as the award winning track record of the management team.  Located in State waters, Platform Holly is approximately 2 miles from Coal Oil Point near Santa Barbara while the State Lease PRC 421 piers and caissons are located nearby at  Haskell’s Beach. The Ellwood Onshore Facility is in western Goleta, California. Working closely with the State Lands Commission and the City of Goleta, Beacon West maintains a keen focus on safety, regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship while well plugging & abandonment activities proceed and facility decommissioning planning work is underway.

Carpinteria Offshore Field – Platforms Hogan & Houchin and La Conchita Facility

ConocoPhillips selected Beacon West Energy Group to monitor and maintain Platforms Hogan and Houchin and the associated infrastructure while the ultimate responsibility for decommissioning of these assets is determined.  The two platforms are in the Santa Barbara Channel approximately 3 miles from shore. The onshore oil and gas processing plant that historically handled production from Hogan and Houchin is located in La Conchita, Ventura County. All work on these assets is performed under the supervision of the federal Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE). Beacon West provides essential maintenance and monitoring services to ensure public safety and environmental protection as the platforms are prepared for well plugging and abandonment activities as well as final decommissioning of the platforms and facilities.
